How to:

Crimps

Crimps are a soft metal bead, used in place of knots to secure clasps and beads onto un-knotable thread such as tiger tail. (nylon coated wire cable)
How to use crimps

You will need some flat nosed pliers to squash crimps
Thread crimp onto tiger tail
Line up the crimp in the tip of your pliers as straight as possible
Hold your pliers at a right angle to your wire
With a steady hand, squeeze down on your pliers and squash crimp

NB. If the crimp is not straight before crimping, this will give an uneven result and may permanently bend the wire.  For best results use 'crimping pliers' these give the neatest finish by squashing and folding the crimp in half, with better control, forming a smooth, unobtrusive crimp.
